2021.06.11 Our publications on EconStor
Working Papers, which is our serial publication on the population, family and well-being can also be downloaded from the EconStor website operated by the Leibniz-Informationszentrum Wirtschaft. The latest issue by Tóth G., Csaba entitled “Multi-population models to handle mortality crises in forecasting mortality: a case study from Hungary” has recently been published.
2021.06.03 KidLongi app
Using the reference data of the HDRI and ELTE, a free downloadable application has been created that allows pediatricians, nurses and parents to compare the growth and physical development of children. The KidLongi-ONV2 application is available after registration.
2021.05.25 New publication
A new publication in the English language edition of our magazine Demography has been released. The study by Michael Förster and Anna Vindics is entitled "The impact of demographic and family structure changes on income distribution in Hungary and OECD countries".
2021.04.19 Online conference
From April 21 to 24, Concordia University of Canada will host the 15th International Karl Polanyi Conference online, featuring presentations by our researchers Attila Melegh and Dóra Gábriel. The conference will examine the role of the state in the 21st century following the Covid epidemic, and the link between migration and Eastern Europe, with a particular focus on caregiver migration, will be on the agenda, too.
2021.03.18 Population Europe
The renowned organization is hosting a three-day conference next week. Our senior research fellow, Gál, Róbert Iván is the co-author of the study on Europe of pro-elderly welfare states within child-oriented societies planned for the second day of the meeting.
