2016.01.07 Who pays for demographic change?
Population Europe, the network of Europe's leading demographic research centers (HDRI among the founders) has launched its latest Policy Brief. The current issue deals with public finances and intergenerational transfers: the concept of economic life-cycle helps to measure and understand the economic consequences of population aging. Our senior researcher, Róbert Iván Gál contributed to the article.
2015.12.17 Impressive readership results
Our senior researcher's Kálmán Joubert's paper achived impressive readership results. The article was written together with Péter Berkő with the title: "The effect of Intrauterine Development and Nutritional Status on Perinatal, Intrauterine and Neonatal Mortality: The MDN System." The article was published in the book "Perinatal Mortality" by InTech, but also available online, via open access. The paper has been accessed 1500 so far. Congratulations!
2015.11.27 EDUREP Conference
Wittgenstein Centre organizes the international conference "Education and reproduction in low fertility settings" in Vienna 1-4th December, 2015. Zsolt Spéder, HDRI director gives a presentation in the "Feritlity change" session on 3th December, and chairs the "Childlessness" session next day. More about the conference: agenda.
2015.11.27 GGP User Conference
The Conference will be held in Vienna, on 30th November - 1st December, 2015. This international conference aims to bring together researchers working with data from the Generations and Gender Survey and the GGP Contextual Database.
