Zsolt Spéder, director of the Hungarian Demographic Institute and Lívia Murinkó, our researcher gives a lecture today at Stockolm University, Demography Department with the title “Children’s Experiences of Mothers’ Partnership Dissolution and Re-Partnering: Differences Between Union Types and Cohorts”.

2015.08.31 Conference in Prague

HDRI together with Balassi Institute, Prague and Charles University oraganizes a conference with the title "Driving forces behind demographic trends. The role of migration and family formation". The conference will be held in Prague, 10-11th September 2015, the programme can be downloaded from here.

2015.05.14 HDRI presentation in San Diego

Authors are invited to submit their papers for the peer reviewed, open access Demográfia English Edition 2015 volume. Papers and abstracts should be sent to: englishedition@demografia.hu. Abstracts required due: 30th June 2015, full papers due: 30th September 2015. Papers will be available through RePEc international online database as well.

In the framework of the HDRI Demography workshops Prof. Dr. Anette Eva Fasang gives a presentation on 30^th March 2015 with the title Intergenerational Patterns of Family Formation. Dr. Fasang is professor at Humboldt University and WZB Berlin Social Science Center. Her main fields are Gender and Family, Social Science Research Methods, Welfare State and Social Inequality. The presentation starts at 10.30 at HCSO Árvay Hall (Keleti K. Str. 5-7.) can be attended upon registration (nki@demografia.hu).

2015.03.20 Anette Fasang seminar

Prof. Dr. Anette Eva Fasang gave an intensive seminar for PhD students and researchers at HDRI on 23-24^th March 2015. The topic was “Comparing Societies” . Dr. Fasang is professor at Humboldt University and WZB Berlin Social Science Center. Her main fields are Gender and Family, Social Science Research Methods, Welfare State and Social Inequality. She spends a month in Budapest as guest researcher at HDRI.
